Rebekah, Sarah and I all took some time this week to think about our shopping, but it quickly turned to us all writing our own wish lists! In a shop full of lovely sewing themed things, it’s all too easy to get distracted.
We thought we’d share with you what we’ve been dreaming of getting; I hope it inspires you to think less selfishly than us and buy some fab crafty Christmas goodies for family and friends.
Sarah would like to pick up some crafts she can enjoy while watching lots of festive films, and has gone for either The Makery’s Letter Hoop Embroidery Kit, or The Make Arcade’s ‘Pass the Prossecco’ cross stitch kit.
Sarah also has her eye on this bundle of fat quarters, from the Craft Cotton Co. They’ll make perfect placemats and coasters for her dining room, which she is currently working on decorating. The Mettler Winter Collection of thread, not only goes perfectly with the fat quarters, but also contains a nice range of very useable coloured threads for all sorts of projects!
I also have my eye on some of the kits we have in store at the moment! I’ve never made a clasp purse, so The Makery’s kit would be a fun project to have a go with over the Christmas break. I’d also love to work on a new quilt, and think this jelly roll would be a fun jumping of point- the roll contains strips of fabric, precut to 2.5″, taking the hard work of cutting out off your hands! I can see the colours in this jelly roll going well in my bedroom.
I also am in love with the giant thimble desk tidies- perfect for keeping my fabric scissors away from naughty hands! This would have pride of place on my cutting table.
Rebekah has her eye on this lovely Innov-is 955 embroidery and sewing machine– we did say we we’re writing a wishlist! This machine is so much fun to use, and perfect for adding a little detail to garments.
Rebekah is also hoping for a new pair of scissors and a fun tape measure for Christmas- which might be a little more realistic!
If you need help writing your Crafty Wishlist, call in to the shop in St Martin’s Square, Leicester. We have lots of ideas and we’re very happy to help you put together a fun list this Christmas. We even have a Christmas Wish List for you to fill in at the shop, which we’re happy to send off to Father Christmas (or whoever you’d like) to help you get what you really want in your stocking!
