I have jetted off to northern Italy to go for a wonder about the mountains. As many of you will also be off on your summer holiday travels soon, I’ve compiled a list of really useful and, more importantly, pretty travel accessories to sew up ready for your next trip.

4. Eye Mask
Another must for flying (or napping in the airport). Block out the bad lighting and drift off to sleep with this eye mask from Tilly and the Buttons.
5. Makeup Bag
This practical and pretty tutorial for a zip bag by AmusingMJ, is the perfect size for makeup, jewelry or, my necessary for traveling, inhalers!
6. Infinity Scarf
You just can’t beat a good scarf when travelling, and this one by Polkadotchair has poppers! Unsnap it and you have a cosy blanket perfect for keeping your knees warm on a chilly flight.
7. Cable Cosy
My chargers inevitably end up in a tangled mess whether I’m traveling or not. I definitely need to make a cable cosy by Liveit. Love it. Make it!
8. Tote Bags Three Ways
A three for one pattern tutorial by Purl Soho with easy, easier, easiest options. A good tote bag is an essential travel accessory, pick the one for your level and get sewing!
9. Makeup Brush roll
This is a simple tutorial for a simple and practical travel accessory from Centsational Girl. I’d fill mine with pens and pencils.
10. Jewelry Organiser
Nothing makes an outfit complete like that perfect piece of jewellery.You can take all those trinkets with you with this travel organiser by Brit + Co.
11. Tissue Holder
One of our own! Sarah came up with this super cute tissue holder. Don’t leave home without one.
12. Travel Wallet
Keep organised with this essential travel wallet by So Sew Easy. Have everything in one place and clasped firmly to your side.
13. Laundry Bag
I love this idea from Enjoy/Create! Far better than a couple of plastic bags to keep your unmentionables tidy when traveling.
14. Card Holder
A great travel accessory from Mollie Makes. And, a brilliant way to use up some of those fat quarters.
15. Kindle Case
However much I love physical books I have to admit the kindle certainly saves a lot of space whilst traveling. Bring back the tactile experience of reading with this fantastic fabric cover tutorial by Whipstitch.
