This week at Crafty Sew & So we have been making our Christmas lists from the wonderful goodies that have been coming into store.
I love these gorgeous little crocheted tape measures, given to us from our friends at Just… The Fairtrade Shop. Not only are they cute and practical but also ethically sourced by The India Shop, a company who work to provide sustainable employment for disadvantaged producers. These Fairtrade products are hand crafted in Vietnam.
Show your love for all things crafty with this stunning necklace. Handmade in Leicester by Craftival this piece is perfect for giving as a gift or keeping as a lovely treat for yourself. There are many more items by Craftival in store, including key-rings and brooches.
These vintage stork scissors will never go out of style. They’re a great gift whether you need to stock up on those mysterious vanishing scissors or your simply want something pretty to snip away with.

If you think you might be spoilt this Christmas maybe ask for one of our sewing baskets. It’s the perfect gift to kick start your creativity. We have our larger and smaller baskets including everything you need to get sewing getting started. Alternatively if you’re looking to complete your existing stash we will happily put something together. These gifts are fully customizable to your needs, the price will vary depending on content.
These adorable crocheted children’s hats are new into store, just in time to keep little ears warm this winter. Handmade by Fran at World of Crafts. Click the link to check out her Facebook page to see more of her fantastic crochet.
I would be perfectly happy this Christmas to have a stocking full of these beautiful bundles of fat quarters (and maybe a pair of socks). The complimenting colours are great for any small projects you’ve got on the go, quilt making, or even appliqué.
This cute cuddly penguin made by Tracy from Sew Nothing’s Impossible is too cute for words. You can order your own message or name to be embroidered onto a variety of cuddly toys including tigers, Lady birds and teddy bears. An ideal gift for babies first Christmas.
…And now for that extra something special for each of us here at Crafty Sew & So
‘Top of my wish list for Christmas is a couple of metres of this cosy tartan brushed cotton to make myself snugly pj bottoms and some of the new single jersey fabric we’ve just got in, to make a matching top using the Renfrew pattern by Sewaholic. I like to be super warm in winter so this would be perfect for chilly January nights!’
‘Wonder clips are my new favourite sewing accessories. I always struggled trying to get the bias binding to lie flat. and using pins always meant the fabric would shift when it went under the machine. I use wonder-clips all the time at work and would love a set to take home.’
Rebekah’s Favourite (Me)
‘Ever since I’d seen this beautiful gold fabric I’ve been itching to make a slinky little top from it. I love the Grainline Studio patterns they are nice and simple for a novice like me’.
